Camille Vansteenkiste (1994) joined the Ghent bar in 2018. She graduated with honors in both her Master of Laws at the University of Ghent (2017) and in the Master de specialisation en droit international she followed at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Kent (2018). Throughout her studies, she has focused on intellectual property law with particular interest and passion.
Considering her broad academic background, Camille’s legal expertise is not limited to IP and ICT matters (including questions involving copyright, patents, trademarks and designs, media law, privacy/data protection and unfair commercial practices), but also extends to other branches of the law.
Camille equally is an excellent public speaker, which she has proven repeatedly during her participation in the Manfred Lachs Moot Court Competition in Lisbon (2018) as well as during the ECSL Summer Course she participated in (2018), where she received the award for best Oralist.
Her studies and international background (thanks to having an Australian father and Belgian mother), have also endowed her with strong language skills (Dutch, English, French and Spanish).
